The Foundation San Cebrián works towards quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, so the project has a marked social character. He has participated in it, a German volunteer whose fundamental concern, among others, was to meet care services to intellectual disabilities in our country. Voluntary activity has a duration of eight months Voluntary work has consisted mainly in supporting the daily activities that take place in one of the workshops Occupational Center of the Bank in the town of San Cebrian de Campos, specifically Workshop Bikes (occupational activity consisting of arranging bikes by people with mentored by a professional) disability. In addition to this activity, others were made as organic garden, walks, accompanying bookmobile, kitchen, etc. The fundamental objectives that were raised for this project were, from the personal enrichment of all those involved in it to make known our approach to work and training for voluntary, through an approach and international contacts of the Foundation in the face of possible organization of other activities. In addition, clear results have been achieved in skills related to: - Communicating in another language - The acquisition of social and civic competences - Sense of initiative - Skills work both at the individual level but, above all, teamwork. - Skills related to tolerance and respect. It can be considered that activity has had a major impact locally, since many of the activities have been developed in the community setting.
