Pedagogu profesionālās kvalitātes uzlabošana
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

One of the preconditions for a modern and open school is and efficient management with the whole staff approaching the questions of quality. The aims set by European growth strategy indicate that application of innovative methods in the teaching process can ensure high quality process and acquisition of basic skills for the students. Our school too puts forward the aim of raising the level of education. To successfully achieve the target demands highly professional, updated and open staff for innovations. Therefore we consider that one of the best ways of supplying our teachers with these qualities is to send them to international lifelong education courses, where they would have the opportunity not only to acquire modern teaching methodology, but also to improve their foreign language skills, foster their understanding of education systems of other countries, and better comprehend traditions and culture of other nations. The above mentioned skills and knowledge are vital for education process in the ever developing world.Upon choosing the courses several factors were taken into consideration –the long- standing experience of the organizers (all of them have been working in the sphere for years), the topicality and suitability of themes for the relevant subjects (English, Biology, Special Needs), as well as the relevance of themes to the aims of the school (quality improvement with implementation of innovative teaching methods).SummaryUpon finishing the courses the teachers will be able to approach the teaching process in a more innovative way and get deeper understanding of methodology and efficiency of teaching in different teaching environments, with a particular emphasis on instruction in teaching in an attractive and easy to understand way. Application of such methods will encourage students to acquire the subjects in accordance to their level of knowledge and develop their understanding of a multicultural society and European integration.Acquisition of methodology envisaged in the course programmes will give an opportunity to compare curricula and methods in different EU countries and to discuss their effectiveness and application in different learning environments. The topics of the sessions include such current and essential themes as sharing experience with forms and methods used in other participant countries, developing practical skills in their city, school and neighbourhood. The attendance of the courses will improve the teachers’ language skills.Language development before and after attending the courses will incapacitate the teachers to form long lasting cooperation with teachers from other EU countries, sharing most recent methodology , presenting samples of POSITIVE EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS IMPLEMENTING THEM IN EVERYDAY LIFE AND WORK. CREATION OF SUCH COOPERATION WILL RAISE MOTIVATION FOR EDUCATIVE ACTIVITIES AND HELP CREATE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS.
