Pedagogisen johtamisen ja tiimityöskentelytaitojen kehittäminen kouluyhteisössä

Our students have a lot of special needs. They need support in learning, communication, social and practical skills. The teaching our students requires a succesful teamwork. The aim of our project is to develop the school faculties teamwork: interaction, trust and working together for a common goal. Central to our project is to strenghten both our teachers pedagogical leadership and support special needs assistants cooperation with teachers. The main content of the project is job shadowing and observation between the partner schools. The faculties of the schools participate in class-room work in the schools which are part of the project. The faculties get new viewpoints to the classroom work and are able to develop new team work and teaching methods through shared conservation on the observations that have been made during the visits. Besides the job shadowing the participating schools write a blog in collaboration which discusses the different aspects of the project. The schools organize team work days together. The knowledge obtained through these training days will be use to develop team work skills and teaching methods. The better pedagogical leadership obtained by the teachers shows in faculties stronger commitment in each students`individual learning goals and the classes common goals. Special needs assistants can share their experiences and observations with collagues in Estonia. By sharing experiences they can develop their own work at classrooms. Better team work answers in each students individual needs. Better team work of the adults leads also to a better interaction between students. The project also helps us to improve our language skills and cultural knowledge. Our students can also improve their cultural knowledge by doing exercises with Estonians.
