The project Pedagogical practice of students abroad was motivated by an efford of Higher Vocational school and High School of Pedagogics Litomysl to be in contact with European trends in education of preschool children, handicapped children, and also to familiarize with the institutions that provide these services. The project followed up experience of students successfully passed in 2013 under the Leonardo da Vinci - Mobility. The project was designed for 10 selected students of the second year, whose specialization is preschool pedagogy and special education. These students had theoretical and practical experience of working with children, they were willing to work on themselves and had sufficient language skills. Before going abroad there was an intensive preparation beyond the normal lessons. Students prepared files for physical activities, visual arts, music, crafts, health and aesthetic education. The goal was the to be able to work with children in the British preschools. The main objective of the project was a continuous three-week teaching practice in nursery schools in the UK. The students were acquainted with the fact that there could be healthy and disabled children. Students demonstrated the ability to work in a foreign environment and transfer the theoretical knowledge into practice. They had to communicate with native speakers and members of host families, which enriched their language competence and increased their interest in learning English. Students managed that to able to work in a foreign environment and possibility to apply in the countries of the European Union or elsewhere abroad. Some students have been offered a job directly in the nursery where the worked in Portsmouth. Students learned about the first stage of the British education system and cared for some disabled children too. They met different social and ethnic spectrum of children and their parents. Mobility were implemented in April 2016. The outcome of the project was written and visual documentation of the activities undertaken and their evaluation. The materials were acquainted students VOŠP and SPgŠ Litomyšl, teachers and the public. Results internship will appear in the annual report of the school, which always significantly enhance the prestige of the school. Project participants received a certificate of practice done abroad, ECVET and Europass Mobility.
