Peace - Volunteering & Creativity

International youth exchange project - “Peace – Volunteering & Creativity” takes place in one of the most popular sea resort of Georgia _ Kobuleti, during of 14 - 21 june, 2012. The project will last during 8 days (including arrival and departure). It will bring together 40 young people from 8 different countries, from EU and EECA: Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Poland, Armenia, Georgia, Russia and Azerbaijan.The themes of the project are: developing ideas of peace, thinking out the creative methods to contribute peace-building by volunteering, promoting voluntary by the help of ex-EVS and permanent local volunteers in their countries, learning to avoid the conflicts by using the methods of non violence communication, dialogue among young people from different countries by different backgrounds, promoting solidarity and tolerance without any discrimination by working together in international groups, stimulate better understanding of diversities, and developing awareness against of xenophobia. The YE will include learning conflicts as between people and societies, among countries too.Almost all involved countries have had political or historical conflicts between them, and some continues even in modernity. So the main sense of this project is the fact that - the idea of implementing this project was born by the ex-EVS volunteers from these countries.The learning methods of project will be through non-formal and in-formal education. For to achieve the principal goals of YE we’ll use different activities, such as: group discussion/presentations, special-cases, role-plays, Living Library, “World Cafe”, team-building activities, flash-mobs, intercultural evenings, peaceful demonstration involving local communities and other creative activities.
