På bärande vingar ur tryggt bo
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

For the school year 2014-2015 Botby grundskola has got two quality development programmes: "På bärande vingar ur tryggt bo" (On strong wings from a safe nest) and the development of the school's international activities. Blomängens lågstadieskola (classes 0-6) and Botby högstadieskola (classes 7-9) merged into a continuous comprehensive school, Botby grundskola, 01.08.2014. Ever since the fusion the key priority of the school has been to establish a structured framework. This accomplished, it's time to develop the education itself and other activities at school. We want to offer our students a safe school environment but also varied and comprehensive education which helps our students to aquire the knowledge and the skills required in society when they leave our school. By developing the school's international dimension we will get support from our partner schools in Europe to develop teaching methods and other activities at our own school. We are going to apply for an Erasmus + KA2 school project for the school years 2014-2016 together with nine European schools. In the project "Erasmus Minus Bullying. Practices in Prevention and Intervention of Bullying in European Schools" we will try to find good practices for anti-bullying work. The Learning Mobility of Individuals (KA1) project is closely connected to the Erasmus+ school project as we want to encourage our teachers to attend courses also abroad in order to develop their teaching methods and their intercultural competence. Two teachers will attend a course in outdoor pedagogy on Iceland and one teacher will attend a drama course in the United Kingdom. Outdoor pedagogy and drama pedagogy will be noted as areas of development in the curricula.
