Search for European Projects

ouverture à l'Europe et à l'international d'un établissement d'outre mer.
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school has identified specific needs to encourage European awareness and internationalisation. Our main objective is to improve the staff competences in the teaching of foreign languages in order to set up future projects. Two teachers of English have applied for a Teachers' Training Course in Edinburgh, Scotland from July 5th to July 12th 2014, with LFEE Europe. This mobility project will improve the participants' competence thanks to the acquisition of new teaching methods, using new tools including a European dimension: Scottish History, Scotland's cultural heritage and political situation in the UK. This staff training will update the participants' oral skills, develop their cultural awareness and understanding of contemporary Britain. These two teachers are involved in the guiding and training of junior colleagues on probation, they're also in charge of a Euro-English project in the school, and so they'll be able to encourage European partnership projects in their school. Thanks to this course, the participants will acquire new teaching methods and tools they'll be able to use in their classes. The pupils will improve their oral skills and language competences and will be more motivated by the learning of English and European mobility. The use of e-Twinning will lead to a partnership with a Scottish school, through emails and the setting up of common projects.
