This will all be theories and methods in the field of youth work: Basic theories as 'learning zones' and Maslow, group dynamics, communication styles, feedback, practical social psychology, experiential learning and leadership. The aim is to improve the quality of youth work by giving young leaders the theoretical background to make their own programs more evidence based, better structured and more focused on the aim of youth development. The project is hosted by YMCA Camp Vidablick from Sweden and will take place 19-03-2016 till 27-03-2016 (excluding travel days) at a venue near Bankeryd, Sweden. 25 youth workers, aged 18 to 30, with different levels of experience, coming from Netherlands, Poland, Latvia, Sweden and the Russian Federation.During the project we will monitor personal development of all participants by questionnaires, individual coaching and group sessions. At the end we will try to gather as much as possible of the shared information and knowledge in a document. This can be shared freely with all people interested in this topic. Next to that we will emphasize the connections and networks between the organizations and individuals involved in the project. Because we believe that we are all facing challenges that others already have encountered so we can benefit largely from each others experience.
