Out of Hate, A Piece of Art

The training course ‘From Hate to a Peace of Art’ will bring together 27 youth workers and youth leaders from 9 different organizations to train them in group dealing with conflict and hate by using art as a tool for tackling such issues. It will focus on developing practical and theoretical knowledge and skills in working with individuals and groups in the development of key competences regarding combating hate and dealing with conflict. The objectives are: Explore the role and influence of young people in times of crisis;Explore how to work with young people engaging in hate speechExplore youth work as a tool for peace and reconciliation; Explore art based strategies for dealing with conflict and conflict situations; The participants will will work with real life experiences and case studies and various theories linked to peacebuilding. This is based on the non-formal learning method grounded theory where participants develop their own observative and experiential knowledge with support from experienced trainers. Through group work and group processes the participants will work in the field of social, emotional, self-management, training and learning to learn competences.The project is organised by the informal group “LIVE N8W” from the Netherlands with support of NGO Loesje Armenia. The participating countries are: Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Check Republic.
