The project originates from the necessity of internationalizing our boarding school starting from the linguistic preparation of its staff.Our short-term objectives are:1. Improving the general knowledge of English for the Principal and for the administrative and auxiliary staff, in order to give better welcome and hospitality to the numerous foreign students of the boarding school, to keep contacts with their families and their schools , to limit the extent of scholastic failure for these students.2. Improving teachers’ knowledge of the English language in order to: a) give better support to foreign students and secure their educational success b) start a common learning path that will allow us to increase the number of CLIL courses in the three levels of the boarding school (primary, middle and secondary) c) allow a large number of teachers to take part in cultural exchanges / partnership projects KA23. Improving the didactics of English as a foreign language with particular reference to special educational needs4. Giving further training to teachers who are already teaching CLIL courses The total number of participants is 26, including the Principal, 6 members of the administrative and auxiliary staff and 19 teachers.There are three types of activities to be funded: language training, didactic training for teachers of English with particular reference to special educational needs, didactic training on CLIL.The project will be carried out in various steps: sharing of information, mobility and training, monitoring , progress and follow up assessment with final certification, progress and follow up dissemination , final event in conjunction with the school open dayThe envisaged results will be: a. A better knowledge of the English language for teachers and other members of the staff , which will allow better communication in the school and will increase our possibility to host foreign students and to secure their academic success.b. The start of a process which will allow progressive improvement in the general knowledge of the English language, opening up new prospects of partnership projects with foreign schoolsc. More efficient teaching and learning , thanks to increased motivation of teachers and students and better preparation to answer special educational needs.d. Increased autonomy and self-confidence for teachers and other members of the school staff
