Our natural treasures; heritage without borders

The Petofi Sándor Primary School used opportunities provided by the project to contribute to the social and cultural cohesion of the border region by showcasing the local natural environment and heritage. The objective was to introduce the protected areas of the Kórós-Maros National Park and sites of natural and cultural interest in the counties of Arad and Biharia to the target group. The support was put towards the financing of canoeing trips down the Kórós and the Tisza rivers all the way to the mouth of the river Maros. The participants compiled written descriptions and multimedia materials about the areas they had visited, and posted them on the Internet, as well as editing a booklet about discovering the Kórós valley. An open-air school was organized for 13-14 year-old children, who wrote diaries about what they experienced and learned there. Achievements: Please refer to the 'Description' field, which also includes the achievements of this project.
