Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

In parallel to the increasing level of welfare, the income allocated to travel and transportation opportunities, the competition among the countries is increasing each passing day in the tourism sector, one of the world's fastest growing sectors. Our country has a prominent position in the sector as it is among the first top 10 countries. According to TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) the tourism revenue of our country has showed a increase at the rate of 6.2% compared to the previous year and the rate of tourism revenue in 2014 was about 35 billion dollars. The main tourism objective of Turkey is to become an international brand with qualified labour force and the high quality facilities and services; to diversify and improve the tourism products and services in a way to appeal to a higher income group; and to become a leading sector in regional development within the principle of sustainability by increasing the quality in each component of the tourism value chain. As stated in "the Report of Tourism Specialisation Commission", our important goals include increasing the quality of the labour force through tourism education and emphasis on quality services to the tourists with qualified tourism staff.A very significant portion of tourism revenues is earned from the foreign tourists. Therefore, the labour force in the tourism sector is required to adopt the service understanding at international standards, to satisfy a wide range of demands and to be updated in parallel to new developments. The latest situation in Europe will be observed and experience will be gained about what should be done to achieve the highest quality of service through the project. Our projects has been prepared on behalf of Evliya Çelebi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and our school will be responsible for all project-related processes. Our 40 students receiving education in 11th and 12th grades in the area of Accommodation and Services will undergo a traineeship on "Front Office Services in Hospitality" in three different countries in Europe for two weeks within the framework of the project. In this context, 5 groups of 8 participants participate in the project flows in Hotel Cafe Deluxe UG in Germany between 15th-28th January 2017, in Prvni Soukroma Hotelova Skola s.r.o. in the Czech Republic between 5th-8th February 2017 and in Klimt Hotel and Apartments in Austria between 5th-18th March 2017.The methodology to be used in the project will be based on followability, transparency and affordability. .The project will be divided into three different phases as the pre-flow, the post-flow and the flow period and it will be determined initially who will play an active role in each phase. Within the project team work will be essential and the grant will be used with the maximum efficiency. The steps to be taken are the determination of the participant students, preparatory works, monitoring and evaluation activities and dissemination activities. The participant students will be able to act in a customer-oriented way, to embrace the principle of maximum satisfaction and to acquire a rich diversity of knowledge that can appeal to many different cultures thanks to the project. The expected short term results of the project are to improve the foreign languages of the students and to educate them as the individuals with professional competences in every aspect. In addition, this process, throughout which the students will acquire the European awareness, will enable them to think in a multicultural way and to show tolerance towards different cultures. In the long term, it is planned to enhance the service standards of the tourism sector, to improve the quality of our institution and to make our school a more respected institution.
