The background for this application is to help and make shure of that more students end their education with a formell competence, and they can use this has a basic for higher educatin. In our program Sales and service, restaurant and food subject, there are to many students that dosent see the straight way and they are very unsure about the future and what to do. To give these students a better basic, and the participants in this projects will see the trade in another perspective. For them to move to another country for a long term, to experience new culture, to see other way to practice their subject, move by them self, try and fail will make them stronger and more confident. It will make them better employees, and they will get an higher understanding about their subject and get more proud of their work. OSS & RM have 93 running kontracts. We are in this lucky situation that we have a lot of companyes that want apprenties, and it is a problem and a challange to fill their needs. That is a big reason to make this application, to get more apprenties. And we beleave that if we can offer these students a posibility to build their CV already in their apprenticeship, that it is good for the education and the subject. OSS & RM have long experience of working with learners/apprenties, and we will follow them and the companyes tightly. The learners also need to documenting their learnings, and they have to do that in a digital "book of skills", www.kompetanseboka.no. This book is build on the goals for the exactly curriculum in VG3. We also have good experience with Leonardo project before, where we cooperated with restaurants in France about chef apprenties. This time we also have letter of intent with Czheck republic. We have have been there personaly to see and quality assured the company already. And the most importent thing is that we have one man, Martin Karlick to support the learners whenever they need, in work but also in the sparetime. To give them a culturel learnings also. That is very important for us, and we beleave that it make the stay and learnings even better. Our collegues in Lærlingkompaniet in Nord Trøndelag have been cooperate with this country for several years and all parts of the project is very good evaluated. We have cooperaded for a long time whit France, first in Leonardo project and later with appretices outside the project. After Leonardo we continuing to send apprenties to France, just to give them the oppurtunities to work ang get experience from the french kitchen. Where the goul was to make them stay longer in their subject. The chefs that we send, everybody is still working as chefs and a lot of them as higher positions. They all have new inspiration and desire to continuing their work.
