In order to monitor integration-related progress in the Oresund Region and to gain insight into the competitiveness of regions compared to other regions, there is a need to develop new comparative data in key areas. The database Orestat" contains comparable statistics, for instance in the areas of demography, housing and employment, for the Oresund region. Achievements: The project Örestat III is a continuation of an earlier regional cooperation on cross-border statistics. The partnership has begun to carry out pilot studies of new statistical areas, including employment statistics, commuting between Sweden and Denmark, etc. The project will also launch a new website where the cross border regional statistics can be published together with analyzes of the regional development in the Öresund Region.
