Optimierung des Fremdsprachenprofils als Schlüssel zu einem weltoffenen Englischunterricht mittels internationaler Vernetzung
Start date: Jul 23, 2016, End date: Jul 22, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Regarding the English classes at our primary school, we pursue the aim of enhancing the lingual and intercultural abilities to act. Therefore, active and action oriented learning is a primary principal of our teaching framework. In order to realise this aim, we are planning to send Mrs. Seiffert-Schellhorn, who conducts the conferences in our English department, to the Strathclyde University of Glasgow to participate in the training course “Storyline meets Storytelling”. We hope that our colleague will enhance her language-related skills and also acquire new learning methods with regards to the active learning principle. Afterwards Mrs. Seiffert-Schellhorn is expected to pass on her newly gained experiences and skills to our team. The above mentioned training course seems to be very appropriate to cause communication and interaction of pupils in class. Mrs. Seiffert-Schellhorn is going to organise the preparation and the follow-up of the training course by herself. Our school is going to support her regarding insurance matters. The participation in a European project is expected to complement our classes towards a more open minded direction and to put a focus on the European dimension. Now and in the future, Mrs. Seiffert-Schellhorn is very motivated to participate in training courses like this and is looking forward to passing on her newly acquired methods to her colleagues and pupils.
