Opettajien täydennyskoulutus
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Teachers´ further education is required in the development of the school. Internationality, updating computer skills, sustainability and preserving cultural heritage are present in our every day school life but we want to deepen our knowledge and compare our experiences with teachers from different countries. Evaluation of our own skills, further education and discussion with a peer group are also necessary in coping with workplace stress. We are applying for four teacher training grants and for four job shadowing grants. The emphasis will be on developing foreign languages, environmental education and computer skills. Teachers will learn about new methods, materials and research. They will make international contacts and improve their language skills which will further benefit the internationality of our school. Teachers will develop in their work and their inspiration will give a good example of life-long learning to the students. In the future internationality and environmental education will be an important part in the functions of the school. Improved computer skills will encourage teachers to try new technologies. All in all we will be better prepared to educate the pupils into global citizens. As employees we will be motivated, capable and happy. We have skills in antibullying methods as well as in peer mediation which we could give in exchange to different schools.
