HeartRebels and Onkruid are both organizations focusing on youth culture. Throughout the years the have established a certain position within their city and country which makes them vital for the innovative, ever-changing youth culture. Both organizations have stipulated a social and artistic mission giving them a vital role within their country and city. Both organizations believe cultural and artistic innovation and entrepreneurship is something you need to endorse, celebrate and support. They want to inspire other organizations, young people and youth culture as a whole to keep innovating and start using their strengths and take things further. In that philosophy it’s important and interesting for HeartRebels and Onkruid to see how similar organizations work in different settings with different backgrounds. How do other organizations work to reach those goals and how can they learn and benefit from each other? It’s important for both organizations and their core members to keep innovating, to keep inspired so they can inspire their network and their audience. The partnership is formed through various steps, wherein both organizations will work separately and together so they can benefit as a group, as well as an individual and organization on itself. Step 1) Brainstorm weekend for both organizations separately: Each organization will organize a weekend for their own core members in whih they’ll valuate and rethink their own social and artistic mission and define targets of growth and opportunities, which need to be taken in the future. Both organizations need to do this separately by talking with local youths, artists and their network to define certain opportunities and needs. Step 2) Inspirational / kick-off transnational visit in Copenhagen: All core members will get to know each other, we’ll work on teambuilding, present each other’s organization, vision, mission, goals and members. Exchange of expertise. Take part and organize workshops and inspirational lectures on cultural entrepreneurship and innovation. Setup an exchange of artists between both organizations / countries. Brainstorm on a collaborative, sustainalbe project between both organizations as and result for this partnership. Step 3) Festival visit in Copenhagen: Onkruid visits HeartRebels during one of its main projects, the Trailerpark Festival (www.trailerparkfestival.com) which is all about youth culture in various forms. At this event the other organization will: - Review the event from an outsider perspective and generate interesting insights for the organizing partner. - Help the exchanging artists with their work at the specific festival or event. - Present the collaborative end product to the audience and network of the partnering organization. - Inform the visitors, local youngsters of the event about the partnership which was setup between both organizations. Step 4) Festival visit in Leuven: HeartRebels visits Onkruid during one its main projects, the HORST Festival (www.horstfestival.be) which is all about youth culture in various forms. At this event the other organization will: - Review the event from an outsider perspective and generate interesting insights for the organizing partner. - Help the exchanging artists with their work at the specific festival or event. - Present the collaborative end product to the audience and network of the partnering organization. - Inform the visitors, local youngsters of the event about the partnership which was setup between both organizations. Step 5) Presentation of the partnership end product: During the project both organizations will collaborate on one sustainable end result, which will symbolize their partnership. This can be a video, magazine, artistic installation, website, whatsoever. Who will participate? In total the 9 core members of Onkruid will participate and the 7 core members of HeartRebels will participate to this project. Both organizations will translate their intense partnership to their own network and audience whom are: - Creative network linked to Onkruid and HeartRebels (artists, musicians, creatives, entrepreneurs, designers, ...) - All youngsters (15 - 30) who are interested in arts, music, events, entrepreneurship and interested in the projects / events of one or both organizations. Which are about 20 000 youngsters in total. - All youngsters (15 - 30) living in the neighborhoods, cities, countries wherein both organizations are active. All of this goals will be reached by an extensive, social media campaign which will run throughout the whole period of this partnership trajectory. This campaign will run on various channels (Webiste, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo and Youtube), through various media (Interviews, Videos, Pictures) and through local, regional and (inter)national press (magazines, blogs, newspapers, radio channels).
