One to One Teaching-Learning Model for Basic and Professional Training in Rural Areas – One to One

The One to One project aims to facilitate access to training for persons located in rural areas, with a particular focus upon women, young people and disabled persons. A further focus will be on continuing training for those in employment located in rural areas. A student-centred approach will be adopted by the project partners, developing individual action plans for learners and combining both face-to-face and self-learning methods. Project activities will include an initial needs analysis of the target group within the participating partner countries, technical development of the One to One Teaching-Learning model (including the design of the One to One Learning Plan and specific training modules for teachers and guidance professionals), establishment of the One to One multimedia learning platform and the creation of an actual One to One Learning Centre. Once the learning materials become available, the One to One Teaching-Learning model will be piloted with 150 students in Spain followed by a full evaluation exercise. The results of the project will include a report on the needs analysis, One to One Teaching-Learning methodology and materials, evaluation reports following the pilot phase, a multimedia training platform and a prototype for the One to One Teaching-Training Centre. A further report will be produced on the potential for future implementation of the One to One Teaching-Learning Model in the remaining partner countries. Dissemination will initially focus upon awareness raising with regard to the aims of the project, which will be achieved through the production of a project information leaflet in all partner languages. Additional activities will include the hosting of 7 national seminars (one per participating country) and 2 European-level seminars to inform upon project progress/results and the hosting of a dedicated project website.
