Start date: Jul 1, 2011,

The main aims of this project are together a group of 20 young students from disadvantaged backgrounds, give them opportunity to do something useful for importance of reading and education. We will carry out activities that aim to instill and raise awareness in participants about the importance of reading as a tool to guide the youth to learning, to the prevention of bad habits such as drug use and to social integration. We will also show the current situation among youth and will take part in discussions about what can be done to increase the level of reading and love of reading along with the positive and negative effects of ever increasing technological improvements on reading. In addition to these informative sessions, participating youth will have chances to interact with each other in discussions, in awareness raising and book donation campaigns, in actions such as sit-downs to read, and activities to create posters and bookmarks that they will distribute in a ‘let’s read more’ campaign in a well populated part of the city.
