This project aims to study the environmental impact (both on the sea and on the seabed) caused by offshore wind farm foundations that are in place, or planned, within the Channel region. Achievements: There are several offshore wind farms on the UK side of the Channel, and similar sites are planned on the French side. 5 Interreg projects are addressing this issue in a multi-disciplinary way. OFELIA is involving French and UK researchers to analyse the environmental impact of offshore wind farms on the seabed.
