It is planning to attend a course which will take place in Joensuu, city of Finland, lasting 5 days. The course title is “Special Education-Every Child is Important”. Six staff members from Bahcelievler Guidance and Research Center are planned to join this main activity. After the main activity occurs, the prevalence studies for our city and also country will be taken place. Bahcelievler Guidance and Research Center gives very much importance to progress, to have a communication with national and international institutions, to follow their practices and adaptation of these practices and the usage of scientific techniques while making intervention to the needs of the people. There are special purposes under the Erasmus+ programmes like increasing the quality of education via international collaboration between people who are working in the area of education and other stakeholders and also supporting the modernization of educational systems through lifelong learning. So, it can be concluded that both the needs of our institution and the purposes of Erasmus+ programme overlap. With the help of the school visits, it is aimed to share the knowledge and experience with European countries reciprocally and to support the unity and cooperation with colleagues. This communication can be seen as just a starting point to encourage us to apply new projects and share our knowledge and experiences. With the help of this course; the participants will have knowledge about the education system and the results of PİSA, disadvantages, special education in primary, and secondary level, early support, how to use assistance in classrooms and vocational education in Finland. Therefore, participants will have a chance to respond the needs of the people in a more qualified and European manner. Our project will be applied as mobility of learners and staff under the action of mobility of individuals. Within the course program which will last 5 days: Finnish education system and its results in PISA; education in Joensuu Visiting in high school (children from 13-16) Productive learning for difficult youngsters Early support, special teaching in kindergartens and preschools Visits to kindergartens and primary schools, integration and inclusion Part time special teaching and visiting disadvantage classrooms Special support and teaching of talented kids in a small school, visiting schools and kindergardens Teacher training and training of special teacher and special classroom teachers Visiting North Karelian museum Visiting at countryside and national park of Koli Feedback discussion and farewell dinner are included. In addition to those main activities, prevalence studies for our city and also country will be take place such as seminars to psychological counselors and special education teachers and preparing brochures/ online documents for schools and parents and etc. In our institution, 1 Headmaster, 4 Psychological Counselors, 1 Special Education Teacher is planned to participate into project. Headmaster of the institution is interested in individuals with special needs and gifted/talented individuals. Psychological counselors worked primary, secondary, high school. They have experiences about preparation of the educational plan, monitoring, and assessment of individuals with special needs (mental, physical, hearing impaired, visually impaired, ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioral problems) in the inclusion programme. They also supported teachers and served guidance-psychological counseling for individuals with special needs and their parents. Special education teacher, in 2006 by going to Norway, participated MATRA project related to raising awareness about special needs, development of material and training teacher. After the attendance of the course, it is anticipated to contribute occupational competence of specialists who are working in the area of special education in our country and to serve more qualified services for students and their parents. In addition, it is predicted to increase national and international occupational reputation of our institution. With the help of the project, it is aimed to develop awareness about values of European Countries and traditions of Finland and also to develop European Countries-Turkey relationship with mutual sharing of our cultural values, educational approaches, and natural-historical prettiness. In addition, it can be developed European citizenship sensitivity of staff who participates to project. In the job areas which focus on “human being”, it is essential to continue development after graduation from formal education and to follow related national-international studies-practices. Thanks to this project, we can have a chance to observe international studies on hometown so that it can be supported lifelong learning of staff. It is hoped to make contribution of foreign language development of participants.
