The youth exchange ”Österlen and Europe – Local youth action for a sustainable world” took place in the village of Baskemölla, southern Sweden, during 6 days in September 2014. The aim was to inspire and enable youth of Österlen and Europe to both increased awareness of local and global issues as well as provide tools for action for a sustainable world.
Seventeen young participants from Serbia, Sweden and Iceland exchanged experiences and practices about sustainable development, peace, intercultural learning, norm criticism, project management and culture. Through an inclusive methodology the participants engaged in interactive workshops in project management, culture and sustainable development and interacted with the locality of Baskemölla Ecovillage where the group lived together with the locals.
The youth exchange was managed by Rörum Backafestivalen Association and enabled by PeaceWorks Sweden.
