The project, “New methods in teaching without borders”, is addressed to the management team and teachers.Tırılar ilk_orta okulu is a primary and secondary school with a population of 255 students between the ages of 6 and 14.Our school is located in the village Tırılar which is 40 kilometers to the center of Alanya.A great majorty of our students come from economicly and socially disadvantaged families all of whom live in villages.Most of our students have to work after school at home and help their parents run errands.Because of such difficulties and poor conditions of village environment, our students are not motivated enough for further education and this causes low exam results.The negative image of the school and the fact it is far from the town center directly effects teacher’s motivation to work.Most of the teachers are looking ways to go prestigious schools after a couple of years at our school.These are the main reasons why our school needs a new perspective, new methods and better motivation.Thanks to a KA1 Project, teachers of our school will; - increase their motivation to work by observing work in other conditions, and learning new methods. -directly learn about other cultures, which will help them broaden their outlook and to break cultural stereotypes -somehow be forced to communicate in a foreign language, which will increase their motivation to learn languages -establish interpersonal relationships with people from another country - acquire new experiences,prove themselves in new situations, which will increase their self-esteem One manager,one Teacher of English,one Art Teacher,one ICT Teacher,one PE Teacher,two Teachers of Turkish Language,two Elementary School Teachers,in total 9 teachers will take part in the mobility. Expected outcomes of the project: - Improvement of the management of human resources - Improving the quality of student learning through the implementation of new working methods acquired during the visits - Improving the teachers' competence of English - Changing the negative image of the school into a new prestigious place with European dimention, which is constantly improving itself and also ideal for disabled students. -Increasing the motivation of teachers to work. -Increasing the motivation of teachers for language learning -Increasing the teamwork competences of teachers -Intercultural competence - understanding of other cultures, the ability to communicate with people living in different historical, geographical, social and religious conditions -Breaking down stereotypes, increasing acceptance and tolerance for diversity -Professionalizing the use modern ICT at school Project Management team will be responsible for the methodology of the project.They will take care of the proper implementation of the project, including the rational management of expenses, methodical implementation, communication between people involved in the project (including foreign partners), evaluation, promotion and dissemination of project results.
