ODYSSEUS ODYSSEUS FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF MODERN GREEK LEARNING AND TEACHING

The overall objective of this project is the dissemination of the teaching materials for modern Greekresulting from two previous Leonardo projects and 1 Lingua project. This way we hope to contribute tothe improvement of teaching and learning processes as well as to the promotion/protection of thisminority language.More specifically, the project aims: a) at improving the teaching resources at the institutions involvedby making the teaching materials available to all interested parties and by launching a teaching/learningvirtual platform; b) at increasing the number of teachers of this language; c) at promoting this minoritylanguage in secondary, vocational and higher education institutions; d) at linking together the actorsinvolved in the field in order to share best practices;The plan of action includes activities related to Dissemination ( elaboration and spread out of postersand flyers to rise awareness about the project, mailings, organisation of cultural workshops anddevelopment of informative sections to be located in the institutional web sites at each partnerinstitution), to training and human resources development (by offering on campus and on-line languagecourses to teachers, students and immigrants, and organising seminars for professionals in the field andmethodological training courses for teachers). Management activities are also considered under thisproject (Meetings and maximization of the virtual platform).
