Business Academy Česká Lípa as sending organisation together with ADC College as receiving organisation created the project Vocational experience in London, it started on June 1, 2015 and finished May 31, 2016.Thanks to the experience gained in the previous year 16 instead of planned 15 students took part in the project. The students were chosen by a team of teachers according to in advance set criteria and from all three study branches. All the participants studied third grade and were of age 17-19.The students are prepared to perform economic, business, entrepreneur and administrative activities in companies of all legal forms and other organisations, they study English as their main language. The main activity was the 14-day work experience in companies in London. Among the objectives of the project were validation of professional knowledge of the participants in real life situations in different language and cultural environment, improvement of their language and socio-cultural knowledge, increase of the school prestige and spreading the information concerning these types of projects among students and public, supporting the dialogue between the school and other subjects in the area. In the preparatory part of the project the contract between the partner organisations was signed and the participants were carefully chosen. The receiving organisation then chose final companies that fitted the needs of the participants such as libraries, charity shops, real estate agents and offices of companies. In this part administrative tasks were also performed: signing of Learning Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Quality Commitments, Participant Questionnaires etc. and also all the practical matters as travel arrangements and insurance. The project implements ECVET and therefore a very important activity in this part of the project was creating and negotiating of the content of Units of Learning in administration. The participants were prepared and supported during regular meetings with the project team members. The 14-day work experience was carried out in March 2016. The participants were accommodated in host families. In the companies, where the participants were placed, they worked as a part of a team and were supervised by at least one supervisor. They gained an understanding of work values and discipline and were immersed in the culture of their respective employers by participating in everyday procedures. They developed new specialized skills in the field of administration and developed professional English language skills. In all the companies were managers who were responsible for monitoring and supervising the students, they prepared daily work tasks according to in advance prepared Units of Learning and together with the accompanying teacher monitored and evaluated the students´ progress. In the final part of the project the sending organisation arranged a conference where the results were shared with Business Academy and primary school students and teachers, Česká Lípa and Liberec region representatives and representatives of companies in the region. The results and experience were also shared via school websites, facebook profiles, newspaper articles, in the project guidebook, during school open days etc. The participation in the project mainly helped to improve the vocational knowledge and experience of the participants, but also contributed to the increase of the prestige of the school, supported the dialogue between the school and other subjects such as companies in the area and state offices. It also contributed to the awareness about these kind of projects among students and public. The participants obtained Europass mobility containing Units of Learning, father Certificate of Attainment from ADC College and some of them even reference from their employers, these documents are a very important part of their CV. Overall, the project contributed to the professional development of the students of the school, helped to create connections between the school as the representative of an educational sector and companies and offices as the representatives of employers. It was positively evaluated by all touched subjects and more or less significantly contributed to their future development.
