Promoting institution of the project is The Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering in Bratislava and its beneficiaries are the students of o its 3 study fields - Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Technical Lycee. Receiving partners are the technical institutions: SKF Competence Centre/SKF Technical College, Goteborg, Sweden, Kainuum ammattiopisto, Kajaani, Finland and ABB Tekniska Gymnasium, Vasteras, Sweden.The submitted project reflects the necessity of improvement of the practical vocational students’ preparation, linking theory acquired in school and manufacturing practice, while motivating pupils to today little popular training. The strategic goal of this project is professional internships of students abroad in selected companies and contribution to improvement of adaptability in the labour market and in preparation for further study with the needs of employers.Within the project, receiving organizations will ensure in accordance with the school´s educational programs a continuous three-week professional practice in enterprises for 16 students of departments Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Technical Lycee. The aim of this activity is the acquisition of basic work habits and skills in working environment with program-controlled machines, industrial robots and ICT technologies used in the production practice, while also increasing the flexibility and adaptability of students improve their communication skills in technical English. We assume that the project will increase the readiness of our students for future employment and their ability to integrate into the labour market after graduation. Last but not least, practical experience abroad will also increase the flexibility and entrepreneurship of the participants.European dimension of the project is underlined by the fact that students from Finland and Sweden will come for their internship to Bratislava, mutually. At the same time, the project will bring benefit to the participating schools in obtaining experience in the management of professional practices that can capitalize on the adjustment and modernization of curricula and the development of school educational programs. The project implementation is planned for 18 months in the years 2016-2017.
