Start date: Oct 1, 2016, End date: Jul 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project focuses on strengthening the core competences of youth workers in social services in project partner organizations from the Czech Republic, Poland, Norway and the applicant organization. Its aim is to strengthen the workers through internships in partner organizations, sharing good practice and work directly in the system of functioning of the organization and the team, inspiration, and acquiring innovative methods. The project will actively involve 18 youth workers. The project also aims to inform youth workers with the theme of prevention of radicalism and extremism among youth groups. It is responding to the actual needs of youth workers who work with youth and who reflect the importance of this issue given the mood in society across Europe. The project will also expand the network of cooperating organizations in the EU and strengthen international cooperation at the European level. Each organization will participate on an internship in partner organizations, where in addition to direct work with youth in the specific conditions of organizations will be presented methods of work in organization, team and network of other partners at the city, national and international levels. Internships will take place in form of experience using the methods of presentation, interviews, focus groups, observation, video and photo slide shows, document analysis, interactive games and so on. Part of internship in Slovakia involving all participating organizations will also provide training on the prevention of radicalism and extremism among young people provided by Norwegian partner and create space for networking. Internships will be assessed during the course of and after the end of the project. During the entire course of the project we will communicate the current status and impact to professional and general public, in particular through outlets published on websites and social networks of organizations participating in the project. The project will have a positive impact on youth workers and youth to be handled (an annual average of 1,450 young people). At regional, national and international levels will mediate propagation of good practice and innovative methods of youth work to strengthen international cooperation at the European level.
