The project named "From teachers' educational mobility to more effective teaching" has come into being in response to rapid changes taking place in education (for instance, the creation of European Qualifications Framework promoting the mobility of citizens between countries and facilitating life-long learning), as well as in connection with the launch of ERASMUS PLUS program. The aim of the project is first to enhance teachers' competence in its broad sense: starting with managing a school through the raising of language competence and practical application of the achievements of methodology to lessons and ending with teaching the strategy of independent life-long learning to both teachers and students. The other important aim is to enhance future educational mobility of students by means of establishing contact between Polish teachers and teachers from other European countries, undertaking inter-school projects together with students and international exchange. The following persons will participate in the project: the head teacher, the project coordinator and a group of teachers selected in the course of a recruitment process. The team appointed by the head teacher has drafted a European Development Plan of the school for the next few years. The specific needs as well as the long-term development targets have been taken into consideration: teachers' educational mobility, the establishment of a pilot class taught in the CLIL system as well as the undertaking of educational mobility by students. The project is expected to result in teachers' higher competence, the improvement of the results of English teaching, the launch of a class taught in the CLIL system, the learning of how to learn and the broadening of horizons of both teachers and students. Other potential long-term benefits may also include the familiarization with a wide array of possibilities created by ERASMUS PLUS project, the increase of interest in educational mobility on the part of other teachers and the establishment of grounds for the undertaking of educational mobility by students.
