„Обучение и практика по електротехника в реална работна среда“
Start date: Sep 30, 2015, End date: Sep 29, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The educational process in "A. S. Popov" Vocational Secondary School of Electronics has been up and going for half a century now. It all started on 15th September 1964 when the school was founded. Presently about 300 students receive their vocational education and training there in the fields of “Computer engineering”, “Electronics” and “Electrical equipment in transportation vehicles”. The school premises of about 6440 square metres are located on a large campus of 8610 square metres. All class-rooms and labs where the technical subjects are taught are fully fitted with state-of-the-art equipment. The school will participate in the project "Training and practice in electrical engineering in a real working environment" with a group of twenty boys and girls aged 17 to 19 years With the implementation of the project the students will have their professional competences improved, as well as their interest in the career paths they have chosen in Bulgaria or the European Union. Their enhanced linguistic skills will also facilitate their careers. The positive emotions that go in tandem with the change of the environment will add up to their motivation to do better at school. By taking part in the project they will be acquained with the vocational education and training in another European country. Observing the chances for a career abroad will increase their motivation to do well in their studies and will offer them a new perspective on their education and European citizenship. The students will be shown a modern diagnostic system in a technically advanced professional centre. They will acquire professional skills in working with the latest devices used in checking and testing computer systems and hardware. They will also get professional competences in: • the structure and operation of the electrical installation , wiring , knots, wiring diagrams ; • organising the testing and maintenance of the installation of electrical circuits for AC and wall based sockets for the installation by using the latest European practice • safe handling of operational materials, tools, measuring devices ( including those for computer diagnostics ) ; • acquire basic knowledge and skills for organization and control of electrical installation. The specific training methods used by our partner will enhance the cognitive abilities of the students and will make them follow the latest developments in the computer technologies by exploring Internet based sources, and thus keep with the pace of the rapid development of electronics and electrics. Certificates will be given to the students to verify that the project objectives have been completed.
