Celkový cieľ projektu:Rehabilitácia dvoch významných gotických pamiatok regiónu (košický Dóm svätej Alžbety a hradný kostol v Sárospataku), ktoré sú zároveň cieľom kultúrneho a náboženského turizmu a rozvoj súvisiacich turistických atrakcií. Rekonštrukčné práce oboch významných pamiatok prispievajú k dosiahnutiu výsledku dlhodobej spolupráce projektových partnerov, čo v nadväznosti duchovného dedičstva sv. Alžbety smeruje kvalitatívnemu rozvíjaniu Kultúrnej Cesty sv. Alžbety, v súlade s prioritami programu, ktoré podporujú posilnenie hospodárskych a spoločenských vzťahov v sociálno-kultúrneho hľadiska organicky spolupatriacom regióne. Achievements: St. Elisabeth Cathedral is a Gothic cathedral in Košice. It is Slovakia\'s biggest church, as well as one of the easternmost Gothic cathedrals in Europe. The Lead partner, Pearls of Gothic way non-governmental organization, is implementing many projects in order to renovate this precious building. On the other side of the border, one of the biggest North-Hungarian temples can be found in Sárospatak. To preserve the original state of these cultural heritages the renovation of both church buildings could not be postponed. In the frame of the project, the four aisles of St. Elizabeth cathedral, St. Mettercia chapel and the western entrance to the cathedral were reconstructed. In Sárospatak, the bells, the rosette and the roof of the tower and the main hall were reconstructed, also the square in front of the church got new tiles and new crosses were installed.
