National youth meeting named O mladih z mladimi (About young people with young people) gathered young people from all over Slovenia and those responsible for youth policy on local, regional and national level with the aim of encouraging dialogue between all of them. With that we promoted structure dialogue as an important opportunity for all involved to regulary discourses and decision-making processes about the most relevant topics in the development of youth policy in their local communities. With the project that took place in M-hotel in Ljubljana and gathered 125 participants (young people, young people active in the youth field, local decision makers (from 23 municipalities) and national decision makers (secretary and minister for education, representatives of different ministries) we sent a strong message to the dicision makers, that young people are here and want to be involved in policy making that influence them and that decision maker should listen to them and act according to their needs. We believe that we with the project we did promote youth work and youth field also in the eyes of general public so that sensibility of society for the needs of young people increased.
