The former “Jókai Mór” Vocational School took part in different kinds of European Mobility tenders in the last few years. Thanks to these successful participations and experiences, the new institution – where the former “Perczel Mór” Economic School fused with the “Jókai Mór” Vocational School – are able to provide more foreign vocational trainings and courses for more students. Our main objectives of the Erasmus + project:- Development of students’ autonomy, problem-solving, collaborative capabilities and sense of responsibility.- Development and acquirement of the modern European professional knowledge, know-how and competences.- Improvement of foreign language communication skills.- Strengthening of environmentalism.- Promoting tolerance to other cultures.- Using IT applications and devices. With the help of the “Erasmus +” project we would like if our students can develop their private, profession and social competences, they can increase their intercultural competences, and they can improve their language skills effectively as well. During the project, students can spend four weeks in Schkeuditz, Germany, where they can get wide range of international professional experiences. The project would be carried out with students aged between 16 and 20, from different classes like joinery, gas serviceman, central heating serviceman and economy. The participants would be doing their vocational trainings at practical placements organized by the host institution. The main steps of the program:- Preparation of work programs in consultation with partners.- Sending application documents, applying for the program.- Selecting students on the basis of the given criteria.- Trainings of vocational skills and terminological language.- Contracting with partners and students.- Organization of the journey, accommodation, boarding and health insurance.- Realization of the vocational training.- Continuous monitoring and assessment.- Dissemination.- Summary of final reports.- Dissemination of the results.Students are able to use the acquired methods and techniques during their vocational training. They can teach the foreign terminological language for their classmates as well. When participants arrive home, they report about their foreign vocational trainings and experiences to their classmates and teachers. Documents generated in the course of implementation such as students' work diaries, photographs, videos and project reports can be utilized during the vocational training and the implementation of further projects. Students’ foreign vocational trainings increase their chance of a good start into their future careers in Hungary and in the European labor market as well. There is an important issue for us that what students learn in the school in a theoretical level, they can experience in the real life, eg. environmentalism, environmental protection, selective waste collection, recycling, conscious consumer behavior. During the program, students live according to these rules as well. We hope that this kind of attitude will be taken as a good model on their lives at home too. Our expectation is that the attractiveness of our institute will be increased by this program in our school district. With the help of lifelong learning program, students will be able to switch professions, take part in trainings and re-trainings, and improve their language skills, hence the channels of the social mobility will be open for them.
