The main objective of vocational training institutions is to provide high quality service aiming to satisfy need of labour market and clients. Recently the increasing need of distance teaching has been noticed. Therefore seeking to ensure the customers’ demand Panevėžys Labour Market Training Centre is planning to provide vocational training services by innovative – distance way.Currently the supply of distance learning services are limited by the lack of vocational teachers, lack of competence in distance learning area and limited possibilities to improve them. Personnel lack knowledge in organizing distance learning, in using teaching methods and in estimating achievements.Seeking to provide teaching services by new learning way and ensure the right competence of vocational teachers, training organizers a mobility project is being carried out. The main objective of the project “Distance learning adaptation in vocational training” is to improve personnel competences in distance teaching area and apply this knowledge in organizing trainings distance way. Project tasks are the following:1. Develop competencies of vocational teachers and training organizers in distance training and organizing area by taking part in performance monitoring visits, by performing the improvement of practical tasks and by gaining necessary knowledge and experience for providing new teaching way. 2. By summarizing experience obtained during the project, perform preparatory works for organizing distance learning. Panevėžys Labour Market Training Centre vocational teachers and training organizers will take part in the activities of the project “Distance learning adaptation in vocational training”. During four internships (in Czech Republic, German, United Kingdom and Spain) participants will develop professional competences in organizing distance learning. During monitoring and practical skills developing activities they will get acquainted with the specifics of distance learning and watch how distance learning is implemented in vocational training institutions. Also during monitoring visits participants will get acquainted with new technologies and process how to ensure learning programs, plan preparation, learning quality. Project visits are planned in September and November 2016, February and March 2017. Hosting organizations have a reputation of a reliable partner and big experience in organizing mobility projects. Project will be administrated by experienced project team members, who also will ensure the quality of the project. The duration of the project “Distance learning adaptation in vocational training” is one year.During visits gained vocational competences will be directly adapted to training organizers and vocational teachers work. Participants after summarizing gained experiences will be able to create an optimal virtual area for Panevėžys Labour Market Training Centre. After carring out the project activities, there will be a possibility to implement trainings by innovative distance way in Panevėžys Labour Market Training Centre. As the result the quality of services will improve, organization’s competitiveness and effectiveness will increase.The closing conference will be organized in May 2017. During this conference invited guests from region vocational schools will be introduced with practical organizational aspects of innovative distance training way. Other vocational training institutions will be also promoted to start new way learning. In this way the attractiveness of VET will be increased. The project promotes the developing of innovative practices by transferring experiences from one country to another. The project will help to popularize the new training way for vocational training, will increase the attraction of vocational trainings, will enlarge the education services compliance for market demand and will increase the amount of vocational training students.
