The project aims to develop a professional 90-hour training course providing practical knowledge about childcare both in English and in German at an intermadiate level. The course is going to integrate the study of the subject matter with pedagogical aspects of child development and the practical nature of an au-pair's job with improving language competencies. The CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) method will be applied. The training material will consist of 3 modules: Preparatory, Child development and Practical aspects of childcare. The course will be available on a CD and in printed form as well. The course package will also include didactic materials for trainees - a student e-guide and an Au Pair Survival Kit (providing basic information and functional language). Web authoring and E-learning tools will be adapted to meet specific project requirements.
