Start date: Jun 1, 2015,
End date: May 31, 2017
Students selected for this mobility are volunteers, motivated and come from underpriveledged backgrounds. They have been working for two years to achieve this professional mobility.
This project has various goals:
- first to allow learners to experience a four-week internship in a foreign country,
- then to put into practice the knowledge and skills acquired in our school,
-finally to discover a new culture thanks to a stay with welcoming families as well as to explore unknown situations.
Twenty students have been chosen for the project. Ten students are studying Management and Administration and the other ten students are training in business studies. One of our objectives is to make them become real European citizens.
Through their professional mobility they will perform various tasks:
• welcome customers or users
• find out their needs
• offer a service or a product which meets the expectations of the users
• work in a team
• learn specific technical vocabulary in a foreign language
• receive deliveries
• show advantage of services or goods
• take one's leave
• learn how to sort out daily problems
From this experience, we will expect at first pupils to acquire new skills and behaviours, then to feel at ease using a foreign language in a foreign company and finally to get the European distinction on their diploma as well as to validate the Europass Mobility document.
On a personal level, our pupils will gain from enriching situations which will make them more mature but above all make them think about how to live and work in the current European environment and make them feel they belong to it.
We have chosen a city (Dublin) which is culturally and economically dynamic in order to let students increase the value of this experience on their CV. It will also make their training and their future insertion in the work environment easier. As far as our vocational high school is concerned, our experience on European projects is put forward and it allows us to radiate within our recruiting area.
