The main task of the projectis to enable participants to develop their own educational and professional mobility, which will result in new skills and competences acquired in the school in Ostrava.The aim of the project is to create a wareness of the fact that the value of the employee in the modern labour market in creases with the development of their knowledge and skills. The project will raise the level of knowledge and competence of students in the areas in which our partner specializes, primarily in the field of installation, configuration and administration of telecommunication networks. The Czech School has a professionally equipped fibre optics work room and laboratory of network devices. The project participants will go in new knowledge and practical experience through specialized tasks which will be realized in the fields of electronics, telecommunications and computer science. The project will be conducted in two parts (part I in the school year 2014/1015 and part II in the school year 2015/2016). Each part oft he project will involve a group of 10 students of the Technical School of Communications, who will participate along with students from Ostrava inspecialized classes. The activities, conducted in the partner school, will result in acquiring the following skills: 1. In the field of CISCO computer networks: - Construction of wired computer networks, - Configuration of Cisco routers and switches, - Configuration of static and dynamic routing. 2. In the field of IP telephony: - Installation andconfiguration ofthe SIP server, - SIP andH.323 transmission protocols, - Configuration oft he video transmission. 3. In the field of fibre optics: - Welding of optical fibers, - The performance of the reference measurement of signal loss using the direct method, - Passporting links, - Measurements of signal loss signal at single and multiplefibrebends, - Comparisonand interpretation ofthe results ofthe reference measurements. Participation in the project will enable students to make a more aware choice of career path, make the right decision on continuing education at technical universities (both at home and abroad). The stay in Ostrava will also facilitate their further development and the start of future career related to their education. In the area of intercultural and intergenerational education the youth will have the opportunity to learn the culture of the Moravskoslesko region and to create attitudes of tolerance and mutual understanding between representatives of the two countries according to the idea of European integration. The added value of the project will be increasing practical knowledge of English which is the project official language.
