Nowe Otwarcie - Razem ku Przyszłości
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Jul 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The aim of the project is to establish a permanent cooperation on the line: policy makers - youth, social mobilization of young people, to encourage young people to work for their peers and the community, to exchange different views and opinions, to present to the authorities new ideas, suggestions for solving social problems and issues related to youth. Events planned in the framework of the European Youth Week 2015 in Ustrzyki Dolne will show to the local decision-makers that young people want to get involved, are socially active, they want to have a real influence in the discussion making process on the future and take active part in development of the region in which they live. The project provides a unique opportunity to: know each other, establish sustainable cooperation, to organise youth working groups that will carry out joint activities and have a real impact on the policy of the town and region. For policy makers, it is also an opportunity to encourage young people to work in the future for the local community, for example as leaders or councilors. As a result of the project we will be able to see: more active participation of young people in civic life, the involvement of young people in initiatives for the local community for example- volunteering. Long-term benefits include higher election turnout, more conscious local planning and increase awareness of local needs. We want to show to young people that even in such a small town we can do something ambitious that is also associated with the awareness of being a European citizen. Events in the European Youth Week will be held on 5 and 8 of May 2015 in Ustrzyki Dolne. There will be 220 main participants (110 young people at each event), we also expect the participation of about 500 people from the local community as supporters of different events including sporting event.
