Nowe kwalifikacje - nowe perspektywy
Start date: May 4, 2015, End date: Sep 3, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

„New qualifications- New prospects” it is the name of the project in which 32 people take part (16 men and 16 women) at the age of 15-23 . The very exchange is held in Hufiec Pracy in Nowa Sól, 8 people from each country like Slovakia, Ukraine and Lithuania participate in it. The main aim of the international meeting is to develop the key competences and skills of these young people. The participants of the project are interested in gaining practical knowledge in the field of gastronomy and hairdressing in the form of different workshops, not the lectures. During these 8 weeks they take part in different workshops ( hairdresser, cook) in order to learn some basic techniques in hairdressing and gastronomy. Through some different meetings with careers officers they can define their interests as far as their future job is concerned, thanks to some educational trips the beneficiaries can see the practical part of these professions. Foreign language skills are going to be developed by various types of language classes. Additionally a lot of games, sport activities and integrating classes are conducted, therefore young people can develop both, their communicative and interpersonal skills as well as intercultural awareness. The participants of the project want to know some specific skills needed in these professions. Unfortunately, the local labour markets are very demanding nowadays and need a very qualified worker. After finishing schools, young people have difficulties with joining this labour market as the employers demand working experience and certain skills. Each new skill gained during the project is very valuable for future employers. Therefore, the aim of the project is to acquire new professional qualifications which can broaden their future career prospects. As working conditions are similar to the real ones (specific professional workshops) and under the guidance of professional instructors the participants learn the most significant and useful experiences and skills needed in the field of gastronomy and hairdressing. Furthermore, they can share their knowledge gained in their own countries, which will cause the rise of the level of education and professional mobility. These abilities and skills learned during the project are useful not only now, but they are likely to be used in their future working career.
