The project "New challenges in the profession of primary school teachers" aims to increase the quality of education at Otets Paisii Primry School by improving the skills of teachers in the use of IT and new technology throughout the learning process. The project mobilities will allow two teachers to participate in two different qualification courses in England on the following topics:-innovative approaches in teaching a foreign language;-incorporating Information Technology in classes at primary school to improve literacy and numeracy of students, their knowledge in all subjects and their technological skills. Participants in the mobilities are primary school teachers with a good level of English and proven ability to work in a team. After their training, they will organize activities for multiplication of innovative methods and practices and implementation of IT in the learning process at school and their dissemination on school, local, regional, national and international level. A methodology for the use of IT and innovative approaches in the lessons will be developed by the participants and it will be shared with a lot of teachers during the seminars, workshops and open classes. The introduction of project-based learning and providing a pleasant and relaxed working atmosphere will motivate students and stimulate their creativity. The project will affect the overall development of students and improve their performance in classes - English, Mathematics, Bulgarian Language and Literature, Science and IT.Improved technology skills of teachers and students and established contacts with European teachers during the courses will allow initiation and participation in international projects and networking. Thus the process of sharing of good practice will get an European scale and will provide continuing training after the end of the project. Increasing the European dimension of the education at Otets Paisii Primary School will be based on principles such as international cooperation and understanding, cultural and intercultural education and awareness of European citizenship of teachers and students.Our school will achieve the long-term goal of its European Development Plan -sustainable and inclusive growth in the European Union.
