‘Innovative Approaches to Professional Training’ project will be realized jointly with NEXUS , Training and Mobility, S.L. and Formacion Europea, Practica, Movilidad organizations – our project partners from Spain. It is oriented toward teachers and students from ‘Alexander Paskalev’ Professional High School of Tourism, haskovo, Bulgaria. The project is aimed at refining the quality of training through improving professional qualification of the teaching personnel and adding to the students’ competences referred to professions they are trained on. Project implementation in a multinational environment will contribute to developing competitiveness of the students and teachers, preliminarily prepared in compliance with the European standards and demands of the Labor Market. The project will be implemented within 24 months. Two mobilities are planned to be carried out, each of them in 2 stages. Selection, of the users in accordance with the criteria, clarified by the project leader, will be made during the first stage, realized in Bulgaria. Male and Female participants will be provided equal opportunities while being selected. The users will be involved in pre-preparation in order to become more easily integrated during their stay abroad. The Spanish language course on line, the students will be enrolled in, will enable them to conduct a successful practice in a real working environment. To brush up their English the teachers will also attend a language course, organized by the school. The mobilities will be realized during the second stage in Spain. The mobility for teachers is planned to be implemented from 30.03-03.04.2015 with NEXUS , Training and Mobility organisation – the project partner from Barcelona. 12 professional teachers will be included in the target group. The exchange will be carried out in compliance with the work program, coordinated with the partner. Selection of the topics is made at a work meeting of the methodological society of the professional teachers in our school. It is based on professional demand for improving pedagogical skills. Professional visits are envisaged to be paid to CETT Barcelona school, where Bulgarian teachers will be observing how Spanish students conduct their practical training . Work meetings with representatives of school’s partner firms are also planned to be held. Thus our teachers The mobility for students will be implemented from 22.06 – 10.07.2015 in Tenerife, Spain. 15 students, aged 17-18 trained on professions cook and waiter will be included in the target group. Practice will be conducted in compliance with the work program coordinated between Professional High School of Tourism and the host organization. The partner is responsible for providing workshops in prestigious hotels such as Blue Sea Hotel Interpalace, Blue Sea Hotel Puerto Resort, Blue Sea Lagos de Cesar, etc. A tutor of the host organization will assist the students in becoming integrated in the new social environment. It will be also partner’s responsibility to select supervisors who will give instructions and support the users while at work. The partner will be in charge of monitoring how the daily assigned tasks are performed . The teachers accompanying the group, together with the tutor will check if the work program guaranteeing the objectives achievement is abode by while the practical training is being conducted. As a result of the international practice realization, the students will add to their professional and language skills. They will also become experienced in filleting, garnishing dishes, attractive sea food and cocktail serving. The stay abroad will enable the users to improve their personal qualities and skills to work in a team. And on the whole they will add to their common attaintments. NEXUS , Training and Mobility will validate the competences acquired by Bulgarian students by presenting each of them with Sertificate. The project team will summarize and analyze the achieved results. In order to disseminate the good experience accumulated abroad, we are planning to print out a brochure and record a multimedia disk as well as provide information on Professional High School’s website. We are going to present the know-how acquired to schools involved in training staff for the tourist sector and our school’s partners as well. The positive experience due to the partnership established will be used for adding to curriculums available at present and working out materials fostering professional training and developing further cooperation between our school and business in the region. Professional High School leads a policy towards expanding and deepening the international collaboration with EC Schools and organizations as well as to developing mobility of students and teachers. International cooperation is developed in close bond with our school’s mission aimed at turning it into an educational institution oriented to creation, innovations and exchange in future.
