The project New skills for mutual practice will provide for our students and students of partner´s organisation Salpaus Further Education practice and new skills. We agreed to send 18 participants from each school to project all of Exchanges together. The project consists of 2 types of activities: 1. Job shadowing: 4 teachers; 2.practical education: divided into two sessions, which will be attended in each exchange 6 students and 1 accompanying person. The accompanying person is needed, because students in project are youthful. Students will be chosen from all departments of our school, including apprenticeship disciplines of woodworking. The project is planned for 24 months. Training and educational support of the project is for both partners are organized by professional staff, masters of vocational training, teachers of foreign languages, accountants. The whole project is covered by school representatives who work closely with the coordinator of the project.The aim of the project is programming and new skills by working on CNC machines, acquiring new professional knowledge and skills and to improve communication and language skills in English language. The aim of job shadowing is to learn the job-professional education abroad, organisation school years and vocational subjects’ education, school curriculum, and to compare and get new inspiration of teaching vocational subject, practical education and English by job shadowing at school with a wide experiences in Vocational woodworking education. Our teachers will apply new knowledge into our school curriculum of vocational subjects and the English language.Salpaus Further Educational agrees to organize professional training for our students on CNC machines, which we don't have in our school. Students will learn programming CNC machines and, produce a product using CNC machines individually. In one stay on practice students pass all the levels of working on CNC machines, they start days practising with Biesse simulation program and operating with 4-axes cnc-machine (incl. Aspire (v-carve)), will continuous practising and testing cnc-machine, tool measuring (Tribos) to producing their own job – they own product. This practice prepares students for their further development and job. By the project students will have the opportunity to visit the big companies in Finland as Koskisen Oy, Versowood Oy, and multi-story wooden construction. Students improve their communication skills in English language; learn new vocational English vocabulary and this practice abroad opens them new possibilities for further education in English language. Trainers, vocational teachers and English teacher by the job shadowing get opportunity to enrich professional education, improve their organisation of teaching, school curriculum, they will be able to compare teaching methods and targets of both schools and apply new methods and knowledge to their own school curriculum, vocational subjects and English language. Teachers get the opportunity to establish new cooperation at the international level.Salpaus is interested in a practical education in our school in this project. They are interested in a manual manufacture of classical handmade Slovak product in our school workrooms. Both partners are agreed of exchange the same number of participants during 24 months of project – 18 participants. The aim of the exchange is to programming in TurboCAD, handmade production of special stool, completing stool by surface fitting and painting - using Slovak folk styles. We provide excursions for them during the Exchange to factories like Kronospan, Doka, etc. and workshop in ÚĽUV in Banská Bystrica where they will make classical Slovak handmade products. Both partners of the project prepare afternoon or evening programs for project participants to visit cultural, historical and natural attractions of the country, to support international relationship and communication between students of different countries.The participation of our school in this project will have a major impact on improvement of vocational and language skills of students, the regional development of education – school will inform about project on the web site of the school, the project will be presented at DOD JAVOR at presentation bulletin boards and video of project will be shown in school Hall during DOD JAVOR. We will inform about practice and its results in regional journals, the wood magazine Drevársky magazín, which will increase the public's interest in studying at our school. Students and teachers of our school will present new skills in competition in woodworking industry at national level: Mladý tvorca v Nitre – national competition for the Top Prize, competition Innovation and technical creativity and JUVYR. The school will be able to get new partners at the European level, contact Finnish companies and employers for further cooperation within the practical education of students.
