“NOT ONLY COWS: Politicians and youth talking to improve the young entrepreneurship in rural areas”

The project “NOT ONLY COWS: Politicians and youth talking to improve the young entrepreneurship in rural areas” will create a dialogue between youth and politicians to seek mechanisms to promote youth entrepreneurship in rural villages (small municipalities) through the implementation of proposals for young people across Europe.NOT ONLY COWS, because in our regions we are many young entrepreneurs who want to collaborate to improve our little towns through innovative laboural projects to earn our living! To that end, 5 European associations (Bolboretas Vermellas, Talk.France, Youth Horizons, GLOBE and Usak Milli Egitim Mudurlugu ) will start making a competition through web and social networks where European youth can submit their proposals and projects for rural development in the region of the involved entities, especially those proposals based on communication technologies and the development of ICT. The best and more viable proposals will be rewarded with attendance to the meeting and the opportunity to start implementing the project. Silicon Valley WAS A RURAL ENVIRONMENTThe main activity of the project will be a five days meeting (7 if we take account the travels) in the Vilar de Santos (Spain) with 70 participants: 50 young people (representatives of the partners, young people of the area and the winners of the competition) and 20 political authorities and youth workers (from local to national). In the meeting, we will discuss about the proposals and the aim is local authorities take specific initiatives promoting the young people make real these projects in Vilar de Santos and in the other cities of the other partners.All young people participating in the competition will receive the advice of young entrepreneurs of the town, and the assessment of the new European Youth Developement Center (created by the support of the Erasmus Plus Program). All participants will receive on-site (participants of the town) or virtual (any young European) advise. They will be accompanied throughout the planning process of the project so that their proposals are adapted to the reality of the municipality, and they be economically viable and realistic.The result of this project will be the implementation by the local councils of a Plan of Rural Youth Entrepreneurship that will collect the best projects and proposals discussed at the meeting as well as a set of policy actions taken to allow these have the best chance of success. This plan aims to encourage young entrepreneurship for local sustainable development of the municipality to promote the revitalization of the area and the creation of youth employment.This initiative hopes to have a high impact thanks to the support of local and regional authorities and young people in general and entrepreneurs of the town in particular. The results of this purposeful dialogue will enhance the economy of the area, but also, to improve youth employment opportunities, their initiative and entrepreneurial competences and the ability to actively collaborate in the development of their locality and improve quality of life of its neighbors.Finally, "NOT ONLY COWS: Politicians and youth talking to Improve the young entrepreneurship in rural areas" will lay the groundwork for other municipalities to implement this Plan of Entrepreneurship and replicate their results.
