Not Nearby, But Together: Personal Assistance For Youth At Risk.

From 22nd to 29th of November, 2015 (including travel days) a Study Visit "Not Nearby, But Together: Personal Assistance For Youth At Risk" will gather 40 youth workers and volunteers from Sweden and Belarus. It will take place in Minsk, Belarus and will last 8 days (including arrival and departure). The main aim of the Study Visit is distribution of experience of work with youth at risk between personal assistants to improve the quality of work with such youth. The project targets youth workers and volunteers who are working or want to start working on youth at risk. The main objectives of the project are: - to reflect on youth at risk situation in Sweden and Belarus, - to train youth workers and develop their skills and knowledge in this field, - to promote involvement in voluntary work with such youth, - to share experiences of partners on work with youth at risk and to build better cooperation in the field. During the working days the participants will share opinions and ideas on work with youth at risk and will be involved in various activities. They will learn about Motivational Talk, Cognitive Skills, Ethics and Moral, Angst Management, 12 Steps Programme, Cards Methodology and other methods and tools of work with youth at risk. The study Visit will stimulate people's motivation to work with such youth through theoretical input from experts and participants. After the Study Visit the participants will be responsible to transfer their knowledge to people involved in work with youth at risk. It will be based mainly on Non Formal Learning Methodology. Active participation, group-work and teamwork, as well as theoretical inputs will characterize the programme of the Study Visit.
