NEXT DOOR - Stimulating interregional youth initiatives in Central Europe and Southern Caucasus

“NEXT DOOR - stimulating interregional youth initiatives in Central Europe and Southern Caucasus” is a training course with a focus on two regions: Central Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Southern Caucaus. The aim of the project is to stimulate interregional youth initiatives, and to “empower to empower”. 28 youth workers from six civil society organisations from Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, as well as from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia will meet in October 2014 for 8 working days in Kobuleti, Georgia, to build up competences and practice tools related to stimulating and supporting youth initiatives. A focus will be put on - getting to know each other on all levels (intercultural learning, peace-building, exchange of practices) - incentivating a spirit of initiative and social concern (participation, active citizenship, entrepreneurship, inclusion) - practicing specific tools of youth empowerment (eg coaching, supporting learning processes) - as well as to foster follow-up projects with emphasis on youth empowerment, stimulating youth initiatives, regional cross-border co-operation and co-operation between CEE and the Southern Caucasus. The methods used will be from the toolbox of non-formal learning, with strong elements of learning by doing, peer support and peer learning.
