The currently ongoing development process for a new curriculum has the aim to foster the above mentioned topics. Improved English lessons, the preperation for the future introduction of CLIL lessons as well as intercultural aspects were the motivation for the project "NEWS - Neue Englische Wege in der Schule". The activities in the project are divided in three partes, the preperation phase (language, regional, cultural preperation), the main activities (language courses Course for Foreign Teachers of English and General English Course) and the follow-up phase (presentation of project results in school, transfer of acquired language and cultural knowledge). The participants themselves have organised the project activities as agreed upon with the headmaster. The results (new teaching methods, cultural and regional aspects) will be presented to the entire teaching staff at the beginning of the next school year.
