School is applying for this project with the aim of internationalization, development of quality and reputation of school, quality improvement of education in our school, and for our students and teachers to acquire new knowledge and skills. The students will gain new skills doing their apprenticeship in respectable tourist organisations, different hotels and restaurants. They will visit cultural and historical sites as well as tourist attractions of the area. They will also be able to create new entrepreneurial initiatives and adjust gained entrepreneurial knowledge to the conditions required and market needs.10 students of hotel-tourist department and 10 students of agrotourist department will do their apprenticeship in tourist organisations, hotels and reastaurants chosen by intermediary agencies for 3 weeks during June, July and August accompanied by two teachers. Preparatory activities include the selection of students for mobility, making the detailed program of mobility and other activities, linguistic and cultural preparation of students, organization of travel and accommodation of students and teachers, continuous communication between project partners and the dissemination of the project. Activities during mobility include apprenticeship, meetings with students and staff involved in the activities, monitoring learners in their workplace, cultural activities, getting to know the traditions and customs of Portugal and Malta. Follow-up activities include the organization of Erasmus + Open Day at our school in order to disseminate results and organize peer-learning workshops, writing of the final report and dissemination of the project at local, regional and possibly national level through the media. This project will enable the use of the latest methodological approaches in learning and doing apprenticeship with the intention of strengthening educational component of learning. Expected outcomes for pupils are greater autonomy in work and greater knowledge and skills in the profession, improvement of their communication skills and communication in foreign languages, managing new situations, greater self-confidence and independence while working, openness to European values, intercultural understanding, encouraging entrepreneurship and initiatives, greater motivation for participation in future education. Expected results for the teachers are greater competence in teaching and working with young people, greater openness to change and modernization of the educational institution, development of methods of students assesment, ability to adapt to the individual needs of students and a group of students, transversal competencies, ability to incorporate acquired knowledge into the curriculum and school development plan, as well as gaining better organizational and management competencies.The aim is to motivate and increase the interest of students so that they could understand the value of their education, integration with European education and enable students to do the same tasks in the new environment to gain new experiences. Students will gain a better vocational training, new social values and develop their social skills. Potential long-term benefits we strive for are arrangements for future students exchange, a better organization of apprenticeship in our school, positive impact on the image of our school.
