New Challenges in Mobility

Present project application is planned for 2 years and is expected to support main targets of Viljandi Ühendatud Kutsekeskkool`s development plan: we are a modern vocational education institution in South Estonia, offering wide variety of specialties and training courses to contribute to local, regional and national economy. The school has acquired full accreditation in 6 fields: IT, civil construction, catering/cooking, mechanics and metal works, motor vehicles. The field of transport services is in the waiting list in the near future. To invest in sustainable development of our school we offer our teachers and students possibility to participate in mobility projects. In order to do that we have found reliable receiving/hosting partners: Leeds City College, Kainuun Ammattiopisto, Porvoon Ammattiopisto, Transport School ASUC Boro Petrushevski, intermediary organisation "Education&Mobility". The expected outcome of the project activities would be: a more competent teacher, ready to accept new challenges in VET system (e-studies, new technologies) a more self-studying, self-confident student managing well in European labor market the school with sufficient number of students, able to meet the needs of local, regional and national economy It is a 2 year project. The fields covered in current project application are: construction, car, IT, cooking, truck driving and electricity. The students of these fields will have possibility to find work placement with the companies and partner schools in Finland, UK, Spain; VÜKK teachers will do job shadowing and practical studies in Finland, Spain, Macedonia. All in all 36 students and 20 teachers are involved.
