Neue Ressourcen im Unterricht
Start date: Sep 4, 2016, End date: Sep 3, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Dr Kinghorst Schule (special school for students with disabilities in learning and communication) and the two participants, Bärbel Goltermann-Fiebig and Gertrud Hartke, have dealt with the subjects of personality development and prevention of violence for more than 15 years. Frau Goltermann-Fiebig was in charge of groups mediating conflicts and (severe) quarrels with socially conspicious pupils for many years. She is temporary headmistress since summer 2015. Frau Hartke is class teacher of a class 7 with students who have increased needs of learning and communication, of emotional and social support. At the same time they have been involved in the fields of inclusive teaching.Their school concepts of social learning and individual support of students are constantly developped and revised. The present situation - the further development of inclusion at primary and secondary schools (in Germany called: Grundschule, Oberschule, Hauptschule) in the region of Diepholz; integration of pupils coming from countries threatened with wars and violence - it is necessary to think over and to adjust the school concepts. We want to get further stimulus, new ideas and methods by the intercultural exchange with participants from other countries and different types of school. We do need new resources to be able to support our students in the best possible way concerning their personal resources and to motivate them for their individual development. At the same time we will pass on the teaching skills of this seminar to the schools in our region which we support concerning inclusive education. In addition the seminar gives us the possibility to get to know the latest developpments in the psychology of learning and how to concider this in our classes.
