I would like to take part in the seminar "Ressourcen für den Unterricht" in Graz. I already do have some knowledge as well as experience regarding this topic and I have been able to share that with colleagues in recent years. My aim is to introduce new strategies and methods to our students, who themselves have varying needs and abilities, to reduce learning difficulties. For me as a teacher I hope for fresh inspiration which I will gladly spread among colleagues in meetings and workshops. Communication beyond the boundaries of your state ministry is of particular importance and a European approach to universal questions of education seems perfect to me. Of course, the content of the seminar will be critically assessed in the various stages. In the long run I hope for a better learning and teaching atmosphere and more competence in dealing with all kinds of classroom problems, and I'm also looking forward to finding new inspiration and new creativity which will benefit everyone involved in the teaching process. After finishing the seminar I can say that I really profited from it in a number of ways: One thing was learning about the classroom reality in other countries, in this case Hungary and Bulgaria, and the particular conditions the teachers have to deal with there. And then the really small number of participants, five including myself, made it possible to closely look at specific topics and problems of the individual teacher. This was primarily the case when we dealt with group dynamics in the classroom where I learned about completely new approaches to conflicts in the classroom. I have already successfully passed this on to my young colleagues doing their teacher's training. Another aim of the course consisted in teaching how non curricular contents such as producing positive feelings within oneself and in others with the help of NLP. This turned out quite interesting, too, and can possibly be conveyed to students outside regular teaching, e.g. in particular workshops.
