Our school, the HAK Ybbs, wants to improve the quality of teaching competence in our classroom as well as building bridges with other schools nationally and internationally, sharing ideas and best practices. Hence, four well-experienced language teachers of our school were chosen in order to gain new input for modern language teaching within the European framework and to disseminate the acquired knowledge and strategies. Our school aims at furthering the qualifications of its staff, so that they can better: develop a vision and a school policy adding an international aspect (knowledge and cultural) to school subjects, projects and curriculum manage and organise international activities with partners abroad where possible communicating and collaborating interculturally improve language competence of English and French language knowledge and their use in the classroom improve on the use of technologies in the classroom - internet usage / social media. Through sharing ideas and through finding further partners with eTwinning future school projects and subjects will have an international facet. Students can build bonds with peer in other European countries through projects developed in our classroom cooperating with other EU teachers and partners. These class projects can be organised from the planning stage with EU partners by using social media.
